PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
The School Operations Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the daily operational activities of One City Schools, Inc. and its network of early childhood and public charter schools. This role will assist with several technical and administrative tasks, ensure the efficient functioning of One City’s school teams, school processes, and facilities, and will contribute to creating a safe and productive learning environment for our students and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the coordination of school events, meetings, and activities.
- Maintain and organize school records, documents, and student files.
- Manage the inventory of school supplies and materials.
- Assist with procurement processes, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels.
- Support communication efforts by drafting and proofreading correspondence.
- Collaborate with One City’s Chief Operating Officer, and technical, operations and policy leadership and staff, to facilitate the maintenance of school facilities and functions.
- Assist in coordinating repairs, cleaning, and janitorial services as needed.
- Help maintain safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Assist with student enrollment processes, including recruitment, registration and record-keeping.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to align support provided by One City School District with school-based staff and student needs and plans.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with parents, families, and the community to promote the network's mission and values.
- Collaborate with school leadership, development, and partnership staff to ensure our schools have the financial and community resources and partnerships they need to help our drive learn, grow and thrive.
- Represent One City Schools at community events and meetings, fostering a strong community presence.
- Assist in budget research, preparation, tracking and expense monitoring to ensure resources are appropriately allocated where they are needed.
- Help prepare and process invoices and payments related to school operations.

ROLE SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.
- Previous experience in administrative support or school operations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of school operations from the perspective of teachers and support staff who work directly with children and families.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong commitment to the mission, vision, goals and objectives of One City.
- Commitment to working with children from diverse racial/cultural populations and their families, experience preferred.
- Ability to regularly and routinely lift and push at least 50 pounds.
- Completion of a background check required.
- Be at least 18 years of age
